PALM BEACH, Fla. – Radio giant Rush Limbaugh clowned about Oprah Winfrey's family secret today, tying it to the issue of Barack Obama's presidential eligibility.
"Oprah Winfrey has been leading up to the announcement of this giant secret that she's going to reveal," said Limbaugh. "She's revealed it. Have you heard what it is? She has a half-sister. The half-sister has Obama's birth certificate."
Oprah recently became aware she has a half-sister, a Milwaukee woman she identified today as "Patricia" who was put up for adoption by Winfrey's mother nearly 50 years ago.
The discovery is "the miracle of all miracles," Winfrey told her audience.
Today Limbaugh also noted that House Republican Whip Eric Cantor stated yesterday on NBC's "Meet the Press" that Cantor thought Barack Obama was a citizen of the United States, though no mention was made of his "natural-born citizenship," which is required by the Constitution to be eligible for president.
Limbaugh joked, "When are the Democrats gonna reciprocate regarding such reaching across the aisle as Cantor did here, and admit that Sarah Palin is indeed a human being?"
On Friday, Limbaugh opened his top-rated program by asking why Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie appears to have no support from the White House in his publicized quest to resolve the growing doubt about Obama's eligibility for the Oval Office.
"Where's Obama? Where's the White House? Is this guy flying alone? Neil Abercrombie on his own on this? So much of this is difficult to fathom, to believe," the king of talk radio said.
Limbaugh noted WND's story Wednesday that led to established media such as the Daily Mail of London declaring in a headline: "Hawaii governor claims record of Obama's birth 'exists in archives' but cannot produce the vital document."
"The story originated at WorldNetDaily in this country earlier, and of course if it originates anywhere outside the mainstream press, the mainstream press will not acknowledge it," Limbaugh told his listeners.
