Really, I wonder...Taxi Cab Driver In Stingaree Crash Identified 35 Injured After Taxi Crashes Into Gaslamp Nightclub Stingaree

SAN DIEGO -- An attorney for friends of a woman seriously hurt in Saturday's downtown taxi cab crash told 10News her leg may not have to be amputated despite what was initially reported.

Early Saturday morning, an Emerald cab driver -- who has been identified as 52-year-old Sam Hassan Daly -- plowed into a crowd of people leaving the popular Gaslamp District nightclub Stingaree, injuring 35 -- six critically. Initial reports indicated one woman hurt in the crash had her leg amputated below the knee.

"My people told me who visited her, who are friends of hers, who went to just to see how she is doing, they said, 'King, we talked to her, she seems like she's in good spirits and they saved the leg,'" said Attorney A. King

"The case would be against the driver of the car, the taxi cab, Emerald Cab the company, and our investigation from speaking to an eyewitness present at the scene indicates that his perception of the taxi cab driver was that he was in a state of shock and had glassy eyes, almost as if he fell asleep at the wheel," said Aminpour.

According to traffic court records obtained by 10News, Daly received a traffic ticket just two weeks before Saturday's crash.

Records showed on February 1, Daly's Emerald cab was pulled over for making an unsafe lane change. In September 2010, Daly was ticketed twice by police -- once for rolling through a stop sign in his taxi, and the other for a pedicab violation for picking up a fare in traffic. In 2009, he had two violations in his taxi for impeding traffic and for driving at an unsafe speed.

"This is someone that probably shouldn't have been behind the wheel of a taxi, at least not in this country," said Kevin Thom, who was injured in a crash caused by Daly in 2005. Court documents showed Daly's cab rear-ended a Mustang with 4 people inside. The Mustang was stopped at a red light when it was hit.

Thom, who now lives in Northern California, said over the phone Daly should have learned from his past mistakes.

"Obviously, with all these people getting hit outside of a nightclub, that didn't happen," said Thom.

10News contacted the party in charge of issuing taxi licenses in the county to find out why Daly's license hadn't been pulled. 10News learned each license is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. One or two serious violations could result in the loss of a taxi license.

San Diego police Sgt. Ray Battrick said the driver of the cab later told officers he blacked out moments before the cab drove south on Sixth Street approaching Island Avenue at 1:50 a.m., and drove onto the sidewalk crowded with patrons leaving the Stingaree Nightclub.

Some bystanders attacked the driver, a 40- or 50-year-old man who suffered a broken nose. It was unclear whether his injury was caused during the crash or by the crowd, said San Diego police Lt. Rick O'Hanlon. Bouncers from the nearby nightclub waded into the melee to separate the crowd from the driver.

Video shot by a freelance videographer showed the taxi with a broken windshield parked on the sidewalk in front of the nightclub.

"Basically, people all over … people were just running around screaming," said Paul Jimenez, who was with a group of friends at the club for a bachelor party.

Jimenez said he was outside the club when the taxi came right at him with no warning at all.

"I'm on my phone, my back to the intersection. All of a sudden, I hear 'thump thump thump.' My eyes close, I come to and I'm on the hood," he said.

Police confirmed Daly was the only person in the cab and that he stopped at the stop sign on the corner before driving about 15 miles per hour into the crowd. Jimenez landed on the taxi and suffered only bruising to his legs and hand. He was trained as an EMT and immediately started helping the victims.

"The main thing is triage: who's bleeding ... who's hurt the worst," said Jimenez, who assisted several others who complained about pain after they were hit by the cab. Jimenez said another cab driver passing by gave him a free ride to his sister’s home downtown.

About 55 fire emergency personnel -- including medics and firefighters -- responded to the scene along with 12 ambulance crews, four fire engines, two fire trucks and several police officers.

When emergency crews first arrived, they were told to clear the area because of fears that the taxi might have had explosives inside it. A witness reported seeing a bag with wires coming out of it on the taxi's seats. The bag turned out to be a massager, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Authorities initially reported that 25 people were injured, six of them critically. On Saturday afternoon, O’Hanlon reduced the number of injured to 23. That number has since increased to 35 as of Monday.

None of the injuries were considered life-threatening, but a 42-year-old woman had to have a lower leg amputated, O'Hanlon said on Saturday.

10News spoke to a man who held the injured woman until emergency crews arrived. Several others helped to stop the bleeding.

"We were able to get neckties from some of the people standing by," said Joshua Montana, who was at Stingaree celebrating a friend's birthday. "[Another person] was able to create a tourniquet. Her leg was severed just above the knee. Her leg was completely cut off above the knee."

Montana said he immediately called several of his friends to pray for the young woman’s recovery.

The nightclub also sustained minor damage.

Stingaree majority partner James Brennan issued this statement Saturday morning:

"Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of this morning's tragic accident in front of Stingaree nightclub. We are cooperating in every way possible with the San Diego Police Department in their investigation to determine what led to this incident. We refer all questions at this time relating to the accident to the San Diego Police Department."

Police said it did not appear that the driver intentionally drove onto the sidewalk. A witness told police the driver "seemed to be out of it" and just "drifted" off the street.

"The detectives are still reconstructing the accident," said O'Hanlon, who was referring to the investigation.

10News has learned the Metropolitan Transit System Taxicab Advisory Committee oversees more than 1,200 cabs in San Diego. Though MTS inspects the cabs, it does not monitor how many hours drivers are behind the wheel. A spokesperson for the sheriff’s department, which is the licensing agency, also said they do not oversee the amount of hours cab drivers put in.

"The industry here, comparatively, is heavily regulated especially when you look at the other types of transportation that work in the city of San Diego," said John Scott, who is with the MTS Taxicab Committee.

10News made several calls and could not find any agency that actively regulates cab driver hours. Several cab drivers said a typical shift is about 12 hours but many work more to make ends meet.

Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role, but they will not comment if fatigue had anything to do with it.

City Councilwoman Marti Emerald, who is the chair of the Taxicab Committee and a former cab driver, told 10News there needs to be discussion about what, if any, changes should be made with the local cab business.

"It does give us an opportunity to focus on the issue of long hours, of high cost of leasing a taxicab and what we can do to somehow reform the industry here," said Emerald.

The cab Daly was driving is registered to Makmar Enterprises and Emerald Cab. They did not return 10News' calls for comment.

Police would not release any more information about Daly's background, but friends who know him said Daly is an Egyptian native. Friends also said Daly worked in Egypt as a dermatologist.

Sammy Nour, who hired Daly years ago as a company limousine driver, said Daly is a hard worker but a very private person.

"I was shocked," said Nour.

Dan Rose, who has been renting a room from Daly since December, told 10News Daly was having financial problems.

"[He] was kind of struggling and strapped for cash here because he wasn't making a lot driving a cab," said Rose. "You can sense he's very depressed and not happy."

10News has learned the cab driver's San Diego home is in foreclosure, which is something Rose wishes he would have known sooner.

At this point, no charges have been filed, but the investigation is ongoing.

It's party time in the middle east..Islamists welcome 'day of victory

A senior member of the Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt's biggest opposition group, said Egyptians had achieved the main goal of their popular uprising after President Hosni Mubarak resigned on Friday.

"I salute the Egyptian people and the martyrs. This is the day of victory for the Egyptian people. The main goal of the revolution has been achieved," Mohamed el-Katatni, former leader of the Brotherhood's parliamentary bloc, told Reuters.

Katatni said the Brotherhood awaits the next steps to be taken by the Higher Military Council, which has taken charge of the country's affairs after Mubarak's decision.

Meanwhile, Palestinians in Gaza let off fireworks and shot into the air to celebrate Mubarak's departure Friday, and Hamas called on Egypt's new rulers to change his policies.

"The resignation of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is the beginning of the victory of the Egyptian revolution," said Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri.

"Such a victory was the result of the sacrifices and the steadfastness of the Egyptian people," he told Reuters.

"We call upon the new Egyptian leadership to take an immediate decision to lift the blockade of Gaza and open Rafah (border) crossing permanently to allow people's free movement and in order for the reconstruction process of Gaza to begin," said Abu Zuhri.

Fireworks also lit up Beirut's sky Friday following the news from Egypt. Celebratory gunfire could be heard in the Shiite dominated areas in south Lebanon and in southern Beirut. On al-Manar TV, Hezbollah's television station, Egyptian anchor Amr Nassef cried emotionally on the air and said: "Allahu Akbar, the Pharaoh is dead. Am I dreaming? I'm afraid to be dreaming."

Hezbollah later congratulated the Egyptian people over its "historic victory," and Iran did the same, stressing that the Egyptian people achieved a "great victory."

Promotional poster for film "Iranium"

Iranium, the new movie premiering this week, is offering the world, especially those in the West and even more directly those in the United States, a warning about the deadly intentions of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

That nation, whose president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, publicly has declared a goal of seeing Israel wiped off the map, has been the target of United Nations sanctions over its pursuit of nuclear power, which it claims is for peaceful purposes.

But the possibility, suspected by many outside of Iran, that its goal is a nuclear arsenal is just a component of the problem, explains the movie, which it explains is a dedicated and unadulterated hatred of all things involving the West and freedom.

The project, assembled by The Clarion Fund, features a long list of experts revealing what has gone on in Iran. The report includes graphic video evidence of the Islamic violence there.

It confirms the hatred and violence exhibited by Iran's brutal leadership and documents the regime's abusive treatment of their "once proud citizenry."

Further, it "chronicles the regime's use of terror proxies abroad to inflict deadly messages on their self-described enemies for over 30 years."

Watch a portion of the movie, which for the next week can be seen online:

Produced by Raphael Shore, whose earlier work includes "Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West," and "The Third Jihad," which explores radical Islam in America and the growing threat it presents, "Iranium" ultimately offers suggestions for viewers on how to make sure the violence doesn't go too far.

The project was directed by Alex Traiman, and edited by Micah Smith. It warns that a nuclear attack on the U.S. would be many times more costly than the approximately 3,000 lives taken on Sept. 11, 2001, when radical Islamics hijacked jets and flew them into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania.

Narrating the project is Shohreh Aghdashloo, an Emmy winner who was the first Iranian actress to be nominated for an Academy Award.

Among those whose expert opinions are assembled to explain the Iranian leadership's desire for the death of their enemies are Frank Gaffney of the Center for Security Policy; Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz.; former Ambassador John Bolton, U.S. Rep. Eliot Engel, D-N.Y.; Ammir Fakhravar of the Iranian Freedom Institute and Reza Kahlili, formerly of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

Engel said, "Iran has made a conscious decision to infiltrate the Western hemisphere," and Gaffney noted that Ahmadinejad publicly has speculated about a world without the United States, noting it that not only would be desirable – but also "achievable."

Iran, the 18th-largest nation in terms of land mass, has some 74 million residents. It was changed from a Western-friendly dictatorship under Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi in 1979 when Ayatollah Ruhullah Khomeini emerged from a violent uprising as a revolutionary leader.

What came into being at the time, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps, now arrests protesters and dissidents in every increasing numbers, and executes more citizens each year than any other nation except China.

The nation often jails, tortures and kills those of faiths other than Islam, the video reveals. Its own citizens it sometimes hangs, sometimes stones.

Currently providing plenty of fodder for worry is the nation's nuclear program. Iranian officials, criticized by the U.S. and others for sponsoring terrorism, claim the program is peaceful and intended to provide power, even though the nation sits on enough oil and natural gas to power itself for decades.

"The first thing that often comes to mind when visualizing a nuclear attack is the explosion of a nuclear warhead attached to a ballistic missile in the heart of America's cities," according to the video. "Such an attack could cause unthinkable damage, radiation and loss of life."

Further, an attack short of a nuclear detonation could involve an electro-magnetic pulse that could shut down computers, portable electronics, automobiles, medical equipment and other services or products over vast areas of the continent.

"According to religious scripture, up to two thirds of the world's population will die when the [Islamic] Mahdi arrives; One-third by plague; and one-third by the sword. Many scholars affirm that Hojetiyeh believe that they can bring the return of the Mahdi, by creating those conditions," the website explains.

"The combination of such a philosophy with a nuclear arsenal creates a bleak doomsday scenario," it explains.

While there are cracks in the Islamic regime's foundation – its own citizens are protesting and being arrested and killed by police – the film explainsWesterners and Americans have the choice either to allow Iran's violence to continue, or assist those in Iran who are trying to change the regime.

It:

* Documents the development of Iran's nuclear threat, beginning with the Islamic Revolution of 1979 and the ideology installed by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khomeini.

* Tracks Iran's use of terror as a tool of policy, beginning with the 444-day seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, through Iran's insurgent actions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

* Details the brutal nature of the Iranian regime to its own citizens, and the Iranian people's desire to rejoin the international community.

* And outlines the various scenarios the greater Middle East and the Western world may face should Iran cross the nuclear threshold.

The Clarion Fund is an independently funded nonprofit group that makes and releases documentaries on the threats of radical islam.

Its earlier movies are "The Third Jihad, Radical Islam's Vision for America" and "Obsession." In those, the company used images from Arab TV to reveal an "insider's look" of the hatred being taught by radicals in the Middle East.

Clarion is a New York-based nonprofit that promotes the opinions of Muslims, Christians and Jews to a diverse audience.

'Ata Abd Al-Aal

An Egyptian journalist interviewed on the nation's Al-Rahma TV outlined a plan for increasing Muslim influence over America, boldly declaring, "The U.S. will be transformed into an Islamic republic."

Shortly before massive riots backed by the Muslim Brotherhood broke out in Egypt, journalist 'Ata Abd Al-Aal told his interviewer in a video translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute that he had even heard a sheik in America declare that "the most important place for the future of Islam, after Mecca and Medina, was the U.S."

Learn Islam's global agenda to secure all nations under its only religious law: Get "Islam Rising" on DVD!

The presence of Islam in the America, Abd Al-Aal insisted, has grown so rapidly that it has become "of great alarm to the Zionist circles in the U.S."

The journalist explained a three-step plan for increasing Islam's influence on the U.S. The first step is through conversion:

"The rate of converts to Islam in the U.S. is very high … rising on a daily basis," Abd Al-Aal insisted. "These converts adhere to Islam with total conviction."

The second step is to turn those converts into "preachers" who "convince others to convert to Islam."

The third step is to reverse many Muslim's avoidance of ballot box and instead encourage those faithful to Allah to take up the vote:

"[Other countries] should send religious guides, as the Americans call them, or preachers, who should put an end to the calls not to participate in elections," Abd Al-Aal continued. "Some of the sheiks who go to the U.S. … incite the Muslims living there not to take part in the elections, because they are living among infidels.

"This is very troubling, and runs counter to the rights of the Muslims in the U.S.," he continued. "The Islamic institutions in the Islamic world should send preachers who are well-versed in Islam, who know how to preach to the American mentality, and who are proficient in English and can communicate with the Americans."

If these missionaries for Islam in the U.S. forsake material and personal interests and "act for the sake of Allah," Abd Al-Aal claimed, "The U.S. will be transformed into an Islamic republic."

Abd Al-Aal's comments were recorded on Dec. 12, 2010, while the Egyptian nation was thrown into chaos over anti-government protests little more than a month later.

America Wake Up!!! Schismatics, Heretics, Atheists, Agnostics, Non-Believers, Israelites and Fools take it upon Themselves to Determine Who is and Who

St Isaac the Syrian:

Do not discuss contradictorily about the Truth with him who does not wish to know it, and do not conceal the Word from him who wishes to know it.

Press, Liberals, Jews honor Holocaust-denier

Something especially annoying about the ecclesiastically illiterate press is that they persist in honoring Richard Williamson by referring to him as “Bishop Williamson”, when he was excommunicated by the Roman schismatics precisely for falsely claiming to be a Roman Catholic bishop. The critics falsely claim that the Bishop of Rome, “The Pope”, formerly primus inter pares, has honored Mr Williamson, when in fact he hasn’t and they do.

Schismatics vs Schismatics

I write the following based on the limited facts available from the illiterate press coverage:

As far as I can tell, according to Rome, Williamson was never ordained. Therefore according to Rome he’s not a bishop. Therefore it’s pretty bloody stupid of the MSM et al to honour Williamson’s allegedly non-canonical ordination [by constantly referring to him as "Bishop Williamson] in order to attack the pope, who doesn’t so honour him. It’s absurd to demand that the Bishop of Rome apologize for “honoring” a bishop when he did no such thing. Is it not the case that Williamson is not a Roman Catholic bishop, and never was a Roman Catholic bishop?

Williamson and his fellow Lefebvrest schismatics were excommunicated from Rome because, according to the Roman schismatics, they falsely claimed to be ordained Roman Catholic bishops.

The Vatican has now determined that they should never have been excommunicated. Therefore they have not been “rehabilitated” or “reinstated” or any other such nonsensical terms. They are not returning to communion with Rome, since they were never truly separate from Rome, since Rome has determined that it acted incorrectly. Nevertheless, these LeFebvre-ordained schismatics are still not, nor ever were, Roman Catholic bishops.

Communion

Being in communion with Rome means nothing more nor less than that they are Roman Catholics, and are therefore blessed with the ability to avail themselves of the Sacraments of that Church, including the saving grace of Confession and the Eucharist.

The issue of whether one is in communion with the Church or not should not be determined by politics or the sinful nature of the communicant. All of us are sinners, so that is no criterion. Even the most unrepentant killer is offered the sacrament of confession prior to an execution.

In this era, and correctly speaking, a person is in or out of communion based on whether they are in accord with the teachings of the Church. In other words, being in communion does not confer “respectability” or forgiveness, or indicate “social acceptance”. Generally speaking, it is simply confirming that the communicant is not teaching anything contrary to Christian belief. Mr Williamson expressing his bizarre views on television does not constitute Christian Teachings since he is not a bishop and therefore has no role in establishing dogma. And the Vatican has correctly remarked, “To deny the Holocaust is not a heresy even though it is a lie.”

The Holocaust is already covered in the parts about not killing people and generally being good.

Dogma

Should the dogma of the Church also cover the correct interpretation of the Stalin-Mao split, Paris ’68, “was 9-11 an inside job?”, “was Jenin a war crime?, IRA vs INLA, Salem, Hiroshima, affirmative action laws in Michigan, the morality of sales taxes, the sinfulness of American aggression against Serbia, etc.?

Dogma is established belief or doctrine; authoritative and not to be disputed, doubted or diverged from. Unlike American presidents, or politicians in general, or the UN’s “Big Secretary”, or PR hacks, or pedophiles’ lwawyers, the Pope sees himself is bound by divine law, and denies himself the power to arbitrarily deny the saving grace of the Sacraments to any believer just because they happen to have weird and offensive ideas about history.

A person is or should be out of communion if, for example, he or she is teaching that Jesus is not Christ, that Jesus is not God, that Jesus was never truly human, that Jesus was not resurrected, that Jesus did not establish the Church, that the Church is not guided by the Holy Spirit, that Jesus was never crucified, that not all humans have souls, that the soul is not eternal, that God is not in Trinity, that not everyone can be saved, that the Church has no sacramental power, etc. etc.

If a person denied that Hitler ever even existed, or said that Genghis Khan was a good ruler, or defended the Russian revolution, or championed Napoleon — none of things alone would have any bearing on the question of excommunication. They would matter if the person making these arguments invoked some point or philosophy that contradicted Biblical teachings or the nature of the Church.

A Jew who denied the Holocaust would still be a Jew. After criticizing the Pope for being concerned about Mr Williamson’s soul, will Israel now allow the Vatican to detremine which Jews can benefit from Israel’s Law of Return? Will Jewish congregations turn to Rome to figure out if such and such a person is Jewish?

Not like joining a Country Club

Granting that Mr Williamson is a communicant in no way indicates approval of his actions or of his non-theological beliefs. He was not excommunicated for his political beliefs or historical theories. He was excommunicated for the “unauthorized consecration by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, deemed by the Holy See to be “unlawful” and “a schismatic act”.” I would guess the fact that he has been accepted again as a communicant indicates that he must have repented of his earlier action and stated that in fact the Church is correct and that he was formerly a schismatic (that would be a schism from schismatics of course). Either way he remains a heretic.

Being in communion means that the communicant has accepted the Church’s teachings. (In this case, the Roman Church’s heretical teachings. Thank God for Free Will.) Whether he’s still a priest, or again a priest, is not indicated, but I doubt he would be without first being repentant and proving that he understood and agreed with the Church’s teachings. This is a matter that Rome’s critics ought to be asking about. Not obsessing about his status as a communicant. His bizarre [perhaps he's insane?] and offensive opinions about the Holocaust, and his behaviour, would have a direct bearing on his status as a priest, since then he would be expected to uphold a higher standard of behaviour and education than if he was a non-cleric or non-anchorite.

Lefebvre

Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre‘s father died in 1944 in the Nazi concentration camp at Sonnenburg (East Brandenburg, Germany), where he had been imprisoned by the Gestapo because of his work for the French Resistance and British Intelligence.

Archbishop Lefebvre was convicted of a hate crime against Muslims in a French court in 1990 and sentenced to pay a fine of 5,000 francs when he warned that “it is your wives, your daughters, your children who will be kidnapped and dragged off to a certain kind of places as they exist in Casablanca”.

He founded The Society of St Pius X [SSPX].

It seems his “opposition to change” (as the bright sparks in the press put it) concerned much more than liturgical matters (which, no doubt, the press think are dumb things to be concerned about).

Essentially, he argued that Pope John Paul II had made too many concessions to Protestants, Jews, Muslims and others in his pursuit of improved ecumenical and inter-religious relations. Archbishop Lefebvre was not much impressed by showcase occasions such as John Paul II’s widely acclaimed Day of Prayer for Peace in Assisi in October 1986, attended by 150 different religious leaders including the Dalai Lama, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Buddhist monks, Lutheran ministers, Japanese Shintoists, Jewish Rabbis, Muslim Imams, Sikhs, African animists, North American Indians and many others.

On these points at least, Lefevbre has my sympathy. On the other hand, his argument with Rome is just yet another argument between schismatics.

Instant Christians!

One thing about this media story is that we have learned that all sorts of people seem to feel they have the right to tell the Roman Catholic Church [and Christians in general] what they should or not believe, and who they should or should administer the Sacraments to. Heretics, “lapsed Catholics”, atheists, agnostics, Jews, Communists, Lutherans, Anglicans, Mormons, they all want a vote in determining who is in communion with Rome.

The creepy and seemingly atheistic Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, the daughter of a Lutheran pastor, took time out from her busy schedule of destroying Europe, promoting Islam, attacking Jews and promoting infanticide, to condemn the Pope for not refusing Mr Williamson the Sacraments of the Roman Church. Bizarre.

Hartwig Möller, the head of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution of North Rhine-Westphalia, in an interview with Ruhr Nachrichten, described the presentation of an Israeli flag as a “targeted provocation” of Muslims by Anti-Germans (“Antideutschen“). Muslims and their fellow-travelers, on the other hand, feel quite free to roam the streets chanting “Death to the Jews!” The flag was removed by the police.

In an open letter to Barack Obama published in Der Spiegel, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier endorsed the idea that Germany ought to accept jihadi “refugees” from Club Gitmo.

In fact, Germany has gone quite far in reinstating Hitler’s foreign policy. The destruction of Yugoslavia, war on the Serbs, establishing client-state relations with Bosnia, Croatia and Greater Albania, and of course supporting Jew-haters in Muslim-occupied lands.

Trinitarian Jews

While looking into this case of Mr Williamson, I noticed that many Jewish individuals and groups are presuming to determine who is in communion with Rome. This is truly bizarre.

Of course many Roman Catholics bring this on themselves by getting involved in politics; for example, saying that US immigration policy is un-Christian, and other such nonsense.

But why is it that people who don’t know, or frankly don’t even care, what communion means, feel that they have the right or ability to judge who should be in communion?

For example, Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director, writes that he objects to, “the re-admittance to full communion of a bishop who appears to publicly reject key teachings of the Second Vatican Council.”

This is absurd. (Even beyond the use of “re-admittance” and “bishop”.) Does Foxman understand or even care about Vatican II? Does he accept the “key teachings of the Second Vatican Council”? Somehow I doubt it. What is he, a Trinitarian Jew?

I don’t accept Vatican II, but then I don’t also accept the declarations of Vatican I or the Council of Trent or any other such schismatic gathering. In fact, I’m particularly annoyed by the 1438-39 Council of Ferrara-Florence! But for some strange reason it never occurred to me to write to the Pope about it.

Now, if Foxman limited his complaints to Williamson’s status as a bishop, he’d have something to debate, since the bishops represent the Church in every way. But instead, because he doesn’t even know what communion really means, he presumes to dictate that Williamson should be denied the blood and the body of Christ, when he doesn’t even accept that it is the body and blood of Christ. Talk about chutzpah!

If I were Benedict, I’d write back to Foxman (c/o the New York Times), saying, “My son, I am pleased that you recognize the power of the holy sacraments! I look forward to baptizing you.”

Baby Holocaust

On the subject of excommunication. The Roman Church teaches that those who promote abortion have effectively ex-communicated themselves. This is not directly related to the question of crime or politics however. It’s related to the contradiction of the Church’s teaching that life begins at conception. However, it is clearly stated in the Roman Catholic Catechism that politicians play a special role in society, and that therefore Roman Catholic politicians are to be held responsible to their bishops for any actions they take that would be gravely contrary to Church teachings.

Therefore, I don’t know why an extremely large number of abortion-promoting or abortion-defending infanticidal Roman Catholic politicians have not been denied communion.

+ + +

Some Jews are get very passionate about crazy Holocaust-deniers, while making excuses for people who actually played a key role in the Holocaust.

The US Holocaust Museum is, naturally, upset about Williamson, but defends real Jew-killers:

US Holocaust Museum denies Nazi-Palestinian-Bosnian-Albanian History

The U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM), the nation’s leading educational institution on the Holocaust, has posted on its website a biography of the Holocaust-era Mufti of Jerusalem that distorts the historical record of the Holocaust.

The father of Palestinian nationalism, the Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Hussayni, [also spelled "al-Husany", "el-Husseini", and "al-Husseini"] was a terrorist and a Nazi collaborator, and was indicted at the Eichmann Trial. The Museum wrote a web biography which presents al-Hussayni as a moderate supporter of non-violence. Falsifying and omitting key facts from the historical record, including photographs of Hussayni conferring with Hitler, the Holocaust Museum attempts to exonerate him from well documented charges of Nazi collaboration. The Museum’s website states that his “controversial…relationship with Hitler’s government…has led some to label him a Nazi collaborator and war criminal….”

The Holocaust Museum’s standard for historical truth cannot be what “some” say, since some say there was no Holocaust. The Museum’s entire mission depends on disseminating the facts of the Holocaust. They have now joined deniers in attempting to whitewash parts of the historical record that they seem to find politically difficult. Changing history throws the Museum’s credibility into question.

The Jewicidal Mufti’s Lasting Legacy Ignored by Holocaust Museum

There are direct historical links between the Nazis, the Final Solution, Hussayni, the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda. The Museum’s policy is silence about current Muslim antisemitism. Now it has chosen to falsify these historical roots in the Mufti’s biography. Accordingly, it chose an academic well known for denying any link between Nazism and the current Islamic terror organizations to misrepresent the genocidal activities of the Mufti.

The Museum website calls the Mufti a “moderate voice for peace” and states that his collaboration with Hitler was “inconclusive” and his work for the Nazis was “ineffective.”

* A British inquiry found Hussayni responsible for the 1936-39 reign of terror against Jews and Arab moderates in Palestine. The violence led the British to close Palestine to Jews fleeing the Final Solution. The Mufti spent the war in Nazi Berlin working for Hitler.
* The Jerusalem court that tried Eichmann found in its Judgments, Part 50: “It has been proved to us that the Mufti, too, aimed at the implementation of the final solution, viz. the extermination of European Jewry.”
* The Mufti recruited 20,000 Muslims for the Handschar divisions of the Waffen SS that annihilated 90% of Bosnia’s Jews. Yugoslavia convicted him of war crimes. He fled to Egypt where he recruited fleeing Nazis and helped found modern Islamic terrorism through the Muslim Brotherhood and the PLO.

In an 85,000 image library, the U.S. Holocaust Museum does not include this famous photograph of Hussayni and Hitler, obtained from Yad Vashem. At this meeting, Hitler agreed to the Mufti’s request to extend the Final Solution to the Jews of the Middle East.

The USHMM biography of Amin al-Hussayni falsely states that he “discouraged violence and encouraged cooperation with the British authorities.” It gives equal weight to facts, and their denial: “conflicting interpretations have portrayed him as an instigator against the Jews and British or an opponent of violence as a means of achieving Arab aims.”

The Facts:

* In 1920 he was convicted by a British court and sentenced to 15 years of hard labor for his part in a murderous rampage resulting in 216 Jewish casualties.
* In 1922, he precipitated a second anti-Jewish riot with the translation of an Arabic edition of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.
* In 1929, he accused Jews of endangering mosques, including al-Aqksa. The call went out ” Slaughter the Jews!”, while Hussayni disseminated pictures of the Jewish victims, falsely claiming that they were Arabs murdered by Jews. Over 100 Jews were murdered in Hebron and Safed.
* In 1936-39, the Mufti organized riots, using funds and munitions supplied by the Nazis. He led a campaign of terror against Jews and moderate Arabs. (Kuntzel, Jihad and Jew-hatred, p.21,31)
* In 1937, Eichmann personally came to Palestine to deliver funds to the Mufti. By 1938, he was on the payroll of Abwehr II, the German counterintelligence and sabotage division.
* Following an assassination attempt on the British Inspector-General of the Palestine Police Force, the Grand Mufti was forced into exile in Syria in 1937.
* In 1941, the Mufti played a key role in orchestrating a Nazi-backed coup in Iraq. He blamed the Iraqi Jews when the British crushed the coup, instigating the Farhud, a pogrom against Baghdad’s Jews in which 180 Jews were killed, and thousands injured. (Hayyim J. Cohen, “the Anti-Jewish Farhud in Baghdad, 1941,” Middle Eastern Studies, vol. 3, Oct. 1966 p.2-17) The USHMM’s article on the Farhud mentions Hussayni’s role, but the article on Hussayni does not. (Farhud article, http://www.ushmm.org/wlc/article.php?lang=en&ModuleId=10007277)
* On November 28, 1941, in a face to face meeting with Hitler, Hussayni obtained Hitler’s pledge to extend the Final Solution to the Jews of the Middle East. (Reference: notes of the meeting are in Documents on German Foreign Policy, 1918-1945, Series D, Vol. XIII, p. 881. available at the USHMM library)

The USHMM web biography of al-Hussayni states:

“At his first meeting with Hitler on November 28, the Mufti tried unsuccessfully to secure a public Axis declaration favoring Arab independence….He helped recruit the 13th Waffen SS Division “Handschar”…it is possible that “Hanschar” personnel were involved in the capture and murder of Jews found in hiding or captured as partisans…At war’s end, with evidence that was inconclusive, calls for a war crimes trial of Amin al-Hussayni were unsuccessful. Arguments that he had been a proponent of the “Final Solution” in Europe and its extension to the Middle East have not been universally accepted.”

The Facts:

* According to documentation from the Nuremberg and Eichmann trials, Nazi Germany SS helped finance al-Hussayni’s efforts in the 1936-39 revolt in Palestine. (Kuntzel, Matthias. Jihad and Jew-Hatred: Islamism, Nazism and the Roots of 9/11. p. 21) “The Mufti himself acknowledged that at that time it was only due to the German funds he received that it had been possible to carry through the uprising in Palestine.” Admiral Canarsis, head of German military intelligence, later revealed he personally met with the Mufti’s secretary “to discuss the issue of transporting weapons to the Arab insurgents.” (Klaus Gensicke, Der Mufti von Jerusalem Amin el Husseini und die Nationalsozialisten, p. 94, 234; also Encyclopedia of the Holocaust)
* The 1936-39 ‘Arab Revolt’, paid for and armed by Hitler and organized by the Mufti, resulted in the British closing Palestine to Jewish immigration, thereby trapping Europe’s Jews in Europe. It was a key to the success of the Final Solution. (Ben-Sasson, H.H., editor. A History of the Jewish People. Harvard University Press, 1976, pp1112-12, 1022)
* Haj Amin al-Hussayni was recruited as a Nazi agent by Adolph Eichmann in Palestine in 1937. By 1938, the Mufti was on the payroll of Abwehr II, the German counterintelligence and sabotage division. (Kuntzel; Encyclopedia of the Holocaust)
* “At an early stage the mufti was aware of the extermination of the Jews and he tried to persuade the Axis to extend the extermination to North Africa and Palestine….” (Encyclopedia of the Holocaust, Yad Vashem)
* At the trial of Eichmann in Jerusalem the court found in its Judgements, Part 50, ” It has been proved to us that the Mufti, too, aimed at the implementation of the final solution, viz. the extermination of European Jewry.”
* Adolf Eichmann’s deputy, Dieter Wisliceny’s Nurenburg testimony: “…the Mufti had repeatedly suggested to the various authorities with whom he was maintaining contact, above all to Hitler, Ribbentrop and Himmler, the extermination of European Jewry… and had been a collaborator and advisor of Eichmann and Himmler in the execution of this plan. He was one of Eichmann’s best friends and had constantly incited him to accelerate the extermination measures.” (Eichmann trial, doc. 281)
* The Mufti’s conversation with Hitler on November 28, 1941 was documented by the Germans. Hussayni asked for and obtained the statement from Hitler that “Germany’s objective “is…solely the destruction of the Jewish element residing in the Arab sphere.’(Documents on German Foreign Policy, 1918-1945, Series D, Vol. XIII, p. 881)
* “The phrase used by Hitler in this conversation, ‘Vernichtung des…Judentums’, is one that was used in connection with the Holocaust.” (Walter Reich, former director of the US Holocaust Museum, interview in Haaretz, January 17, 2006)
* The Mufti recruited 20,000 Muslims for the Waffen SS. The Handschar were responsible for the murder of 90% of Bosnia’s Jews, and served as the auxiliary police in rounding up Hungarian Jewry. (Jennie Lebel, “The Mufti of Jerusalem: Haj Amin el Husseini and National Socialism”, 2007; Georger Lepre, Himmler’s Bosnian Division, The Waffen-SS Handschar Division 1943-1945; David Dalin and John Rothman, Icon of Evil: Hitler’s Mufti and the Rise of Radical Islam, 2008 )
* The Mufti wrote letters to the leaders of Hungary and Romania and succeeding in blocking the transport of 10,000 Jewish children to safety in Palestine. “It would be appropriate and more expedient,” he wrote “to prevent the Jews from emigrating from your country and send them somewhere they will be under strict control, for example to Poland.” The children were sent to the death camps. (The Arab Higher Committee. Its Origins, Personnel and Purposes, Documentary Record Submitted to the United Nations, May 1947; letters also reproduced in Lebel (op.cit.)
* “Although there was ample proof to arrest him as a war criminal after the war, the Allies made not effort to do so. They were deterred by Husseini’s prestige in the Arab world. In 1946, Yugoslavia, indicted him for war crimes and asked for his extradition, but the Allies were afraid of the storm in the Arab world if the hero of Arab nationalism was treated as a war criminal.” The French allowed him to escape to Egypt. (Encyclopedia of the Holocaust)
* The Mufti was “by far the most committed supporter of national Socialism in the Arab and Islamic world.” (Kuentzel, op. cit. p.34)

The USHMM biography of Amin al-Hussayni falsely states that “he rejected the 1947 U.N. partition plan …and the establishment of Israel in 78 percent of Mandatory Palestine. Thereafter, he gradually lost his political clout, settled in Beirut, and restricted his activities to those of a religious leader…”

The Facts:

* The Holocaust Museum has reversed the truth. 77% of Mandatory Palestine was given to create TransJordan in 1922. The 1947 U.N. plan partitioned the remaining 23% of the original Mandate between the Arabs and the Jews of Palestine. (Eli Hertz, Mandate for Palestine, p.12)
* The Mufti never abandoned politics, terrorism or Nazi-influenced antisemitism. He is considered, along with al-Banna, of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, the founding father of Islamic terrorism and Islamofacism. “…the Muslim Brothers cleared the way for the second career of the Mufti, whose pro-Nazi past they considered a source of pride.” (Matthias Kuntzel, Jihad and Jew Hatred. Islamism, Nazism and the Roots of 9/11, 2007. p. 46.)
* “Between 1945 and 1948, Islamism received its ‘most important boost’ when the Allied victors …’considered their good relations with the Arab world more important than countering the ideological concoctions of antisemitism, Hitler worship, Holocaust denial and the unbridled desire to destroy Israel, of which the Mufti was the supreme component…the Islamism of the …21st century remains marked …by the connections with Nazism…” (Kuntzel, 2007. forward by Jeffrey Herf, p.XI, XII)
* Starting in 1946, Mufti helped bring “several thousand” Nazi war criminals to Egypt to “‘continue their war against the Jews’.” (Kuntzel, p. 47)
* In 1945, the Muslim Brotherhood opened their first branch in Jerusalem, with al-Hussayni as President. By 1947 they had 25 branches and 20,000 members, ‘follower(s) of the Mufti.” (Kuntzel, p.48 )
* In 1946, he “continued to direct Palestinian Arab political affairs from Cairo,” and blocked the resettlement of 100,000 Holocaust survivors in Palestine. (Howard Sachar, A History of Israel from the Rise of Zionism to Our Time, 1996, p. 271-2)
* In 1947, King Abdullah of Jordan warned that the Mufti wished to set up an Arab state in Palestine with himself as the head. In 1948, the Egyptians did set him up as the president of a puppet government of Palestine, based in Gaza (Sachar, pp. 321, 342)

Actually he did “restrict his activities to those of a religious leader”.
The activities of a Muslim religious leader.

Virginia Delegate Robert G. Marshall

WASHINGTON – Virginia state Delegate Robert G. Marshall has introduced legislation to study whether the Commonwealth should make the preparations now to switch suddenly to an alternative currency in the event of an implosion of the Federal Reserve System and the destruction of the dollar.

House Joint Resolution 557 is another piece of a growing movement among state legislators who are concerned about the dollar's demise. Ten states have considered similar bills, recommending a return to some form of a commodity-based currency, using either silver or gold.

How to fight socialism? The prescription is Joseph Farah's "Taking America Back"

Marshall's Resolution 557 offers a list of worst-case scenarios to support the need for such a study, including:

* "Many widely recognized experts predict the inevitable destruction of the Federal Reserve System's currency through hyperinflation in the foreseeable future.

* "In the event of hyperinflation, depression, or other economic calamity related to the breakdown of the Federal Reserve System, for which the Commonwealth is not prepared, the Commonwealth's governmental finances and Virginia's private economy will be thrown into chaos…"

* To avoid economic, social and political shocks Virginia can adopt an "alternative sound currency that the Commonwealth's government and citizens may employ without delay in the event of the destruction of the Federal Reserve System's currency."

"Inevitable destruction," "economic calamity" and "chaos" are not words used lightly when considering the fate of the nation's currency.

Marshall chose them for good reason and tells WND, "I read the financial pages and I see the coverup that the Obama administration is engaging in, eliminating the cost of food and energy from CPI to fool the public (about the rate of inflation), and the fact that China is seeking to become an international currency and Russia, Japan, Saudi Arabia and China have all met to discuss this possibility."

Dropping the H bomb on the US Military.. Why, and to what end ??

© 2011 WorldNetDaily

Medal of Honor winners, heroic POWs, generals and admirals say it will destroy the U.S. military. Veterans say they're disgusted and fear for the nation's future. And demoralized active-duty soldiers are threatening not to re-enlist, or to retire early.

As February's Whistleblower magazine dramatically documents, the men and women of America's armed forces claim the U.S. Senate, despite being utterly repudiated by voters, dropped a bomb on them during the waning, pre-Christmas days of the lame-duck congressional session.

Dropping the H bomb is about what will happen once open homosexuality – officially prohibited in the U.S. military continuously since George Washington's time – is permitted throughout the armed forces as soon as the Senate's repeal of the Clinton-era "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy is implemented in the coming weeks and months.

Critics say the policy reversal, rammed through Congress to satisfy a 2008 pre-election promise Barack Obama made to his LGBT constituency, recklessly dismantles the time-tested rules, culture and discipline that have guided America's military since the nation's founding.

However, says Whistleblower Editor David Kupelian, it's not too late. "We've released this Whistleblower issue right now precisely because the 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' repeal can still be reversed. Before open homosexuals can be invited into the armed forces, the law says top military leaders have to certify that the new policy won't affect troop readiness, cohesion or military recruitment and retention. Because of that provision, the new GOP-led House could – if it really wanted to – stop implementation in its tracks."

As Whistleblower points out, Rep. Buck McKeon, R.-Calif., the new chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, has opposed repeal and told reporters he wanted to hold hearings that would include rank-and-file service members along with military leaders. "I would really like to hear from battlefield commanders," McKeon said. "I would like to hear from battalion commanders, I would like to hear from company commanders on the front lines in Afghanistan and Iraq to see what their feelings are."

Case in point: Marine Commandant Gen. James Amos – in public testimony the Senate completely ignored – stated unequivocally that repealing "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" would cost lives and disrupt the Corps from carrying out its current missions.

There are several ways Congress could stop the controversial repeal's implementation. The question is: Does the new Republican majority in the House have the will?

Highlights of "DROPPING THE 'H'-BOMB" include:

* "The headlines are wrong" by Cliff Kincaid, who explains why "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" has not been repealed – yet – and how the new Congress can reverse the lame-duck Senate's controversial, last-minute action

* "Voices from the front lines," in which several dozen active-duty and retired members of the U.S. military explain to Whistleblower exactly why they and their fellow soldiers are so opposed to allowing open homosexuals within their ranks

* "The high level of homosexual assault in the military" by Peter Sprigg, whose comprehensive data analysis confirms traditionalists' worst fears: Even before repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," homosexuals have proven to be three times more likely than heterosexuals to sexually prey on their fellow service members

* "'Gay' groups want quick implementation before reality strikes" by Brian Fitzpatrick, who reports that homosexual activists, fearful that a closer analysis of the Senate's hasty action may lead to second thoughts, are pushing to have the policy quickly rolled out

* "Saving soldiers from gay death" by Cliff Kincaid, whose chilling report documents why allowing open homosexuals into the military will almost certainly lead to AIDS-tainted blood

* "FDA urged to let homosexuals donate blood" by Chelsea Schilling, who explains why current public-health policy wisely excludes "men who have sex with men"

* "Total media confusion on 'gays in the military'" by Art Moore, spotlighting the almost universal misreporting about the Clinton-era policy on homosexuality

* "Attack on America's military" by David Kupelian, who says the 112th Congress "can and must deactivate the bomb dropped by the 111th"

* "Officer refuses to indoctrinate soldiers" by Brian Fitzpatrick: In a harbinger of things to come, one Army lieutenant colonel asks to be relieved of his command to avoid being required to impose homosexual sensitivity training on his subordinates. "I love my job," he says, "but I can't do this job once they begin to implement this policy."

* "George Washington on sodomy in the military" by Joseph Farah – an eye-opening look at how homosexual behavior was dealt with by America's most famous general

* "Military heroes warn America" by Bob Unruh, in which top generals tell Whistleblower the U.S. will "suffer the consequences" for abandoning time-tested morality and discipline

* "Unleashing contagion on our armed forces" by Maj. Gen. Pat Brady, in which the Medal of Honor recipient spells out the devastating impact of what he calls a "quad-sexual" military

* "Just because we lost doesn’t mean we lost" by Judson Phillips, in which the tea party organizer describes strategies the new Congress can employ to undo the mischief of the last one

* "The big mistake" by Star Parker, whose exploration of the military's "gay" dilemma pinpoints "the ultimate danger to national security."

"It's now or never," says Kupelian. "Voters, including millions of military members and their families, just gave the newly elected Republican Congress members a ringing mandate to reverse the disastrous policies Obama and the Democrat-controlled Congress forced on us. Now is the time when it's still possible to reverse a terrible mistake – literally an assault on our own military. Will congressional Republicans live up to their promises, or will they betray us? It is that simple."

Obama calls for transition in Egypt to begin immediately

The transition of power in Egypt following President Hosni Mubarak’s decision to step down must begin immediately, President Obama said Tuesday evening.

Making his first comments since Mubarak said that he would not seek reelection this fall, Obama said that “an orderly transition must be meaningful, it must be peaceful, and it must begin now.”

In remarks in the grand foyer of the White House, the president welcomed the decision by Mubarak to step aside, a decision aided by pressure from the U.S. government. But Obama said that process must not drag on too long, and offered U.S. assistance in the transition.

“Throughout this process, the United States will continue to extend the hand of partnership and friendship to the Egyptian people,” he said.

Obama’s comments capped off a high-intensity day at the White House, which saw Mubarak appear on Egyptian state television to announce that he would continue to serve until elections could be held to replace him, falling in line with the “orderly transition” that U.S. officials had sought in the country.

It was not immediately clear whether Mubarak’s announcement would do enough to quell the rioting and protests that have carried on across Egypt for days.

The situation has beguiled the Obama administration, which has largely kept huddled in private meetings the past two days to plan its response.

Obama held a Cabinet meeting Tuesday morning, and the administration maintained an all-hands-on-deck approach across the board throughout the day.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates spoke again on Tuesday morning via telephone with Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, Egypt’s defense minister, Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell said.

He declined to divulge specifics of the conversation, but said it was “part of their effort to stay in touch and up to speed during [the] evolving situation.”

Obama huddled later with his national security team, during which they watched a broadcast of Mubarak’s speech. After that address, Obama and the Egyptian leader spoke on the phone for half an hour, according to the White House.

Obama has enjoyed broad political support for his handling of the Egyptian situation since the crisis intensified at the end of last week, and that support showed no signs of wavering on Tuesday.

“I think, with regard to what’s going on in the Middle East, my view is America ought to speak with one voice,” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said on Capitol Hill. “And we have one president and one secretary of State, and I think they ought to speak for America with regard to the crisis in the Middle East.”

Like McConnell, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) expressed support for the administration’s handling of the situation over the weekend. And would-be Republican challengers to Obama in 2012’s presidential election have been largely muted in their criticism.

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), a large, pro-Israel lobbying group, also was generally supportive of the administration’s stance.

“Like all Americans, AIPAC is concerned about how Egypt’s future will affect American interests in the region,” said AIPAC press secretary Jennifer Cannata. “AIPAC hopes that any political transition in Egypt will lead to a pro-American, pro-Western and democratic government that is committed to maintaining Egypt’s peace treaty with Israel.”

At the same time, the group said, it was appropriate to review U.S. aid to Egypt, which it said should be dependent on whether Egypt’s future government remains committed to its peace treaty with Israel.
