MSNBC's Contessa Brewer is heartbroken that the Times Square bomber is Islamic and of Pakistani

I’m desperately trying hard not to make a crack about how certain liberal talking heads should refrain from on-the-spot punditry and stick to pre-written copy prepared for them by interns or news writers, but … oh screw it. There.

Contessa Brewer is heartbroken that the Times Square bomber is Islamic and of Pakistani descent.

I mean the thing is is that and I get frustrated and there was part of me that was hoping this was not going to be anybody with ties to any kind of Islamic country because there are a lot of people who want to use this terrorist intent to justify writing off people who believe in a certain way or come from certain countries or whose skin color is a certain way. I mean they use it as justification for really outdated bigotry.

And so there was part of me was really hoping this would not be the case that here would be somebody who is not the defined. I mean he’s accused he’s arrested you know I don’t want to convict him before it’s time to do so. He’s the guy authorities say is involved. But that being said I mean we know even in recent history you have the Hutaree militia from Michigan who have plans to let’s face it create terror.

That’s what they were planning to do and they were doing so from far different backgrounds then what this guy is coming from. So, the threat is not just coming from people who decide that America is the place to be and you know come here and want to become citizens. Obviously this guy did.

Brewer is upset that fundamentalists from Pakistan would be written off in a certain way? She’s sad that fundamentalists who dress their women in black Klan robes (recent and not true Islamic custom by the way, according to Nonie Darwish, Director of Former Muslims United, who appeared on my show and discussed how the burka was created as a tool of oppression as in the 1970s. Audio on Demand here) and plot on how to kill infidels will be perceived in a bad way?

Brewer isn’t concerned enough, apparently, to actually do anything to discourage them from blowing up people and places. She can hope until it rains kittens and Skittles that the next terror act, God forbid, isn’t caused by an Islamic fundamentalist who thinks that cartoon rendering of their prophet is grounds on which to kill someone but I have a news flash for Brewer the news reporter: it’s called mitigating statistics. Either naiveté or purposeful ignorance prevents Brewer from connecting to reality on this topic; since she invoked the militia while ignoring the ridiculous May Day violence from the left, I’m not inclined to be generous with any benefit of doubt.

Justification for outdated bigotry? Don’t make me chronicle the relentless bigotry demonstrated by the state media (and Brewer herself) against conservatives. It amuses me that the “outdated bigotry” that fuels people who like to create car bombs and fly planes into buildings is never called into question, the bigotry that is taught in many Middle Eastern homes with their cartoons, et al. is never highlighted on MSNBC or elsewhere, those responsible aren’t held to the standards that state media likes to singularly apply to conservatives. Conservatives exceed those standards and the media bemoans how tea partiers are not like terrorists.

Brewer and other liberal media are in reality admitting defeat; their inability to invalidate the message drove them to target the messenger and as the conservative movement has no sole messenger, their inability to defame the movement through one person has driven them to publicly wish that their political opposition were as hateful as terrorists.

As hateful as these leftists:

I need no further convincing that conservatives have won the battle of message, if ideology. The majority of Americans like limited government and individual liberty; they dislike the incessant creation of government entity after entity to control regulate the private sector, housing, finance, etc. Now it’s a fight for the voter who’s not claimed a party, a side. If the left thinks they can achieve this with media smears, with vocalizing how they wish the tea party was more violent so they could finally invalidate them, all without changing their big government approach in congress, they’re SOL.

Yes, Faisal Shahzad was just a “loner.” Tragically misunderstood. I’m sure he listened to Joy Division and wrote angst on his LiveJournal and thought that if, only if, he had some friends, perhaps hip, record store friends, friends who listened to Fleet Foxes, friends who wore scarves indoors, friends who wore the black horn-rimmed glasses even if they didn’t need corrective eyewear, then maybe, MAYBE, he wouldn’t have signed up as a mercenary for the Taliban (since selling his stuff on Craigslist wasn’t paying off) and decided to try to kill Americans.

The inability, willful or accidental, to understand the people who want to kill us thereby instituting us as their enemy is political correctness in its stupidest, purest form. If those people want to be the sacrificial lambs upon which terrorists can work out their angst, dude, just don’t take the rest of the country with you.
